Akkeshi (厚岸町, Akkeshi-chō) is a town located in Akkeshi District, Kushiro Subprefecture, Hokkaido. As of February 28, 2008 it has an estimated population of 11,323 and an area of 734.82 km². Lake Akkeshi is a Ramsar Site.
