The DoD Social Media User Agreement governs the use of official Department of Defense social media sites and pages, including social networking pages, blogs, and file sharing sites. Users are required to comply with the rules outlined in the Agreement, and failure to do so may result in suspension or termination of access to the websites. The Department of Defense does not necessarily endorse or agree with the comments, opinions, or statements posted on the website by others. The Department of Defense reserves the right to review, edit, move, or delete any material submitted as a comment, and inappropriate comments may be deleted at their sole discretion. Users are also required to refrain from posting certain types of content, such as threats, obscenity, hate speech, or personal/sensitive information. The appearance of external links on the websites does not constitute endorsement by the Department of Defense, and the views and opinions expressed by authors do not necessarily reflect those of the United States Government.
