DevelopSpringfield

DevelopSpringfield, a nonprofit corporation formed in 2008, demonstrates a commitment to flexible and economically viable development in Springfield. In response to the 2011 tornado, DevelopSpringfield partnered with the Springfield Redevelopment Authority to lead the rebuilding efforts through the Rebuild Springfield initiative. This initiative integrated community input and planning expertise to create a comprehensive action plan for the city's recovery and future development. The organization has rallied citizens, city government, and stakeholders to use the tornado as a catalyst for rethinking Springfield's future.
